What is interesting about this results from the weekend Savido? That was the order of ranking at Souths and Canberra. I will post the full results from this competition in the State Competition thread when I have the chance, meanwhile since you mentioned it you may be interested in the exact marks from this event:
D&L - 11111 (W,T,V,F,Q)
P&R - 22222
B&A - 63433
R&A - 35354
L&R - 44545
D&M - 56666
S&M - 77777
David and Lauren received 38 first place markings, Peter and Rebecca received 5 first place markings and Rhett and Ashley received 2 first place markings.
In my opinion it was clear from the first round who the winners were. David and Lauren received a "picket fence" of first place markings in the Tango and nearly the same in Foxtrot and Quicktep, except dropping one first place mark from Eamon McGrath (who gave the event to Peter and Rebecca).
I was a little suprised to see Blair and Amanda receive 6th place for Waltz, their dancing has improved greatly and in time i'm sure will be a regular finalist at the major national events.
There is one more main competition being held in Queensland before the Australians, the Q.A.D.S. Titles ("Greek Club"). I look forward to seeing these couples compete on the floor with Rhett and April in the beautiful ballroom of The Greek Club in South Brisbane. |
