One was individuals, the other was E grade. Not much, I know, but the partnership fizzled out after that, and I haven't found the right partner since. But I'm not worried, I don't have to do comp to enjoy dance. Very Happy

hi everyone...

Im Lozza im from Brisbane well Ipswich actually its a little way away from Brisbane.

I have been dancing since I was three years old, im now 15 so ive done it for 12 years.

It was a family affair untill this year Mum had to quit as she started studying and work got busy.. My sister also dances, she is in Junior Open all three styles and has been the Australian Rep twice this year.

I started in Juvinile level one and moved to the Youth Open age group this year. My partner and I were the Junior Open New Vogue and Ballroom champions last year.

I have really enjoyed looking at this site, I too have seen some VERY unfriendly chat sites.

Look foward to chatting more... Cheers!!

Hi everyone Very Happy

Looks like this is a great way to keep in touch with dancers around the counrty.

A breif history on me. I was competing in the UK about 23 years ago as a Youth and was a semi finalist in British Youth Latin and Quarter Finalist in the Open Latin. I took a rather long break (20 Years). I reurned to Latin in the Masters category 3 years ago and in 2006 won Level 4 Aussies (Masters). After a partner change early last year my first comp was Megastars in August with a 3rd place. In the Aussies in 2007 we were 3rd in the Masters 1 Open Latin (despite the EXCEPIONALLY slow music for the JIVE)..Looking forward to a busy year and in May my partner and I are off to Blackpool to compete in the British Open.

As I am in South Australia I will do my best to share details of comps and results from the Festival State.

Cheerz

Hi All,

Not too sure where to start as an intro...

I'm a little out spoken and not every ones cup of tea, I have the problem of telling it like it is and unfortunatley I'm reading a lot of things that I'll be out spoken on, I guess upsetting some people along the way.

The thing for me is that people forget what we're here for.....the love of dance. Get over the crap and get on with it, times too short, look around have a great time...

Here's to an interesting journey....

Hello I am from Adelaide. Don't yet compete, but thinking about it. Have heard mixed reviews on the competition front, some love it others hate it.

Have been to most of the comps in Adelaide this year to watch and have enjoyed them.

Not sure what SA Master thinks but Dancing could do with a bit of a revival here. Not as many dancers as there should be, not sure why that is.

Always keen to learn as much as I can and will look forward to reviewing some of threads for information

Hi guys I am a level 5 masters 1 competitor I started dancing at 15 so you do the maths I am 42 now and I have joined this site to be opinionated. As a ex member of the ADF for those who remember it for those who don't it was the forerunner to the DSA AM body for AMS. I think I can add valuable input to this site
